After The Beast From The East put paid to them recording last week Ant and Tom are back, despite the not quite so bad snow.
Being British they spend a lot of the first part of the episode talking about the unseasonal weather… or is it?
Ant went to see American pop-punkers The Atiaris a couple of weeks ago and Tom went to see Feeder last night, so many stories of gigs including memories of the Astoria and enjoying seeing professional musicians mess things up.
Lots of Marvel talk again as Ant got to see Black Panther, Jessica Jones series two has started (a conversation prompted by a live text exchange between Tom and Smokey of Rated H), the second Trailer for Avengers: Infinity War dropped. Ant also started watching DC’s Netflix series, Black Lightning.
It’s been a weird month for celebrity casualties what with Kevin Smith’s heart attack and the passing of Ken Dodd, Jim Bowen and Stephen Hawking.
The show ends on the very British problem of how you take your cream tea (ooh err missus!), Devon or Cornwall. A simple administration error nearly lost the National Trust a load of money in subscription fees.

The first show of the 3rd year of the Anywhere But Here podcast has a brand new theme tune, which totally throws Tom for a loop… honest!
Neither Ant or Tom seem to have had any time to keep up with the news, so take this opportunity to explain the show to new listeners and to remind old listeners – including themselves – about why the show is called what it is and what the general theme of the show is: “I’d rather be anywhere but here”.
They go on to discuss the demise and reemergence of page 3 girls in The Sun and reminisce about internet porn in the days before broadband and streaming. This leads on to a chat about feminism in advertising.
Tom talks about his packed weekend of work including being taken to the football by a customer who has a box. None of the people who went like football, but they all like free food and drink! Ant compares it to his experiences of watching bands from corporate boxes and whether or not the atmosphere is lost.
Ant saw The Theory of Everything, so the guys had a conversation about a film they’ve both seen, which is a rarity. They also touch upon the Oscar nominations, but decide to leave their predictions for closer to the time. Plus, they’ve not seen all the trailers for the other films yet!

This week, on Anywhere But Here, Ant and Tom cover some stories sent in by listeners including Kanye West claiming he’s “the number one rock star in the world” while being interviewed by Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and a mother being jailed for starving her child, the corpse of which was discovered by police two and a half years after the event.
They also discuss the latest news in technology including the iOS7 update and whether it’s a good or bad thing and also the furore around Grand Theft Auto V and whether or not people raving about things puts you off them. In this case: Yes and no… yet another example of the fence-sitting Ant & Tom have become renown for! On the lighter side of the news the guys debate the new design for the International Symbol of Access (or the Disability Badge to you and me), which appears to show a paralympian in the wheelchair. Tell us what you think when you see the picture we’ve posted below.
Tom tells us all about the films he hasn’t been able to review on the podcast recently including The Wolverine, Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, The World’s End, Kick-Ass 2 and Rush. In the ABCs this week Ant talks about the universe which sparks off a conversation about watching Professor Brian Cox’s Wonders of the Universe/Solar System while stoned!
